5 Envato items used in this year’s Presidential Campaign – Envato Famous Five

It will go down as one of the most vicious and, at times, truly bizarre presidential campaigns of modern history. But it’s also historic in another way, its use of stock items from Envato.

Morning again for Marco Rubio


While it was certainly swept up in the waterfall of scandals since, early on in the campaign this gaffe by Marco Rubio made headlines. And at the centre of the controversy was an Envato item.

In his campaign ad, ‘Morning Again’, Rubio talked about how America had lost its way. After closer inspection, however, it seemed as if he was the one who’d gotten lost, with the video featuring shots of Vancouver Canada, rather than America.

RockfordMedia’s ‘Boats Passing Near The City At Sunrise’ plays right as this video begins, under the deep voiced delivery of its tagline, a hark back to Ronald Reagan’s ‘Morning In America’ campaign of the 80s.

And, as expected, he copped a lot of flack for it. Including on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Some great exposure for us! Not so great for Rubio.

Ted Cruz

He was the great hope for the GOP, at a time when the party still possessed a glimmer of hope that Donald Trump wouldn’t be its eventual nominee.

Ted Cruz fought a hard fight, this political season. And he used a bunch of Envato items along the way.

He used eria’s ‘Imagine Us’ in his campaign video, ‘We Love Ted’.


He used SeventhQueen’s ThemeForest template ‘KLEO’ for his campaign website.

And – after winning in Wisconsin during the Republican primary – he used StudioKolomna’s ‘Patriot Pack’ to thank the midwestern state.

The Cruz campaign offers a great example of how you can use Envato items to great effect. But also of how even the most fantastic use of them, can’t turn around an election.

Hillary Clinton

And finally, the woman who would become the first female president of the United States, used an Envato item in one of her campaign videos.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign ad ‘Always’ was designed to distinguish her from her eventual rival, Donald Trump, emphasizing the work she’d done throughout her career for the needs of children.

Using ‘Built to Perfection’ by Adigold, it clearly wants to inspire you to vote democrat, offering a montage designed to remind you how much she’s been there along the way.

Simple, and pretty effective.
