Envato Famous Five is back! Join us as we take a look at five Envato items that have popped up in famous places. If you’d like to contribute head to our Envato Famous Five Submissions thread.
This week we begin with something virtual…
1. Road to VR
Virtual Reality is without a doubt one of the hottest trends right now, and as a result of this we’re seeing a lot of new sites dedicated to news and information about this emerging technology pop-up around the web. Interestingly a few of the most popular are using Envato Market items!
1.2 VR Today Magazine
If that wasn’t enough exposure, VRTodayMagazine.com is also using the same theme, albeit in a slightly different variation. It’s a fantastic testament to this wonderful product to see it used by two popular sites dedicated to this rapidly growing audience.
Rounding out this bunch of VR sites that use Envato items is UploadVR which is using IndustrialThemes‘ “Engine – Drag and Drop News Magazine w/Minisites” theme from ThemeForest. This site attracted over 1.2 million visits in April, and this theme seems to be its perfect match, radiating the energy and excitement that accompanies this new and ever evolving tech.
3. Dying Light | Enhanced Edition Reveal Trailer
Speaking of energy and excitement, last year’s release of the “enhanced edition” of Dying Light: The Following was accompanied by a trailer that uses OctoSound‘s AudioJungle track, “Intense Rock Trailer Music“. It absolutely drives this trailer to its peak, and fits in well with the incredibly high quality graphics that make up this game. It’s a showcase for Dying Light and for this Author.
4. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – The Mechanical Apartheid
In a similar vein, Artem200800‘s VideoHive item, “DNA” slots seamlessly into this brilliant trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – The Mechanical Apartheid. The subject matter may be a little full on for some, but it’s hard to argue with the quality of this trailer, which should make this Author feel pretty good about their item’s inclusion in it!
5. Nike — We Run London
And finally today one of Envato’s items has been used in this short video that takes you through the making of the invitation to the Nike Women’s Race which happened last year in London. It’s an incredibly beautiful montage taking you through Nike’s brief, How Exposure (the agency behind this project) came up with the concept, and the truly stunning final result. Leon_Felekyan‘s beautiful AudioJungle track, “Positive Commercial Strings” plays beneath this video, and it’s just a perfect.
And there we have it! Five Envato items that have popped up in famous places. Congratulations to all those featured in this week’s list!
