To what do you attribute your success – how is your business unique?
My name is Apostolis and I am a Motion Graphic Designer. I have been working for Envato for 5 years. I have always been dedicated to making templates for VideoHive, turning down any other clients jobs. I am committed to being creative and original caring about the quality of my work and not necessarily about making projects that are more commercial.
What do you love about your work and why?
I love the freedom of creation even if sometimes I have to follow the needs of the buyers. It’s also interesting to be able to work whenever and wherever I like.
What’s the most challenging thing about your work?
The most challenging thing is to keep a balance between quality and quantity of my work.
What or who inspires you and why?
The most inspiring thing is when I daily spend time on Behance, seeing the best projects worldwide by the best Designers.
What are some of the biggest lessons that has impacted your work?
The biggest lesson for me is that when I start working on a template, I never put any limits or deadlines and always try to update my existing templates.
What is your advice to other authors regarding how to create a successful portfolio?
I strongly believe that we should always create what we really like and we are good at and not try to make similar templates of other authors.
Apart from yourself, who is your favorite marketplace author, and why do you like them?
Definitely Pixflow, because they always pay great attention to how they promote their templates, as I insist on doing it too.
How do you balance work and family life?
My kids are always priority to me and I everyday I can’t wait to show them the progress of my work.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Cinema, Gym, traveling, attending… NABSHOW!
What are your plans for the future?
